Brett Parris

  • DPhil Candidate in Theology, University of Oxford

Biography

I have an MPhil in Classical Indian Religion from Oxford, as well as a PhD in development economics from Monash University. I have previously worked at Monash University and Deakin University in Melbourne, and worked for several years with NGOs focussed on economic development, poverty, human rights, and climate change. While maintaining an active interest in those fields, my current research focusses on the ethical dimensions of yogic philosophy and practice, and the philosophical foundations of human rights, as well as broader inter-religious dialogue. I also teach yoga in both the UK and Australia.
