Jim Gilchrist is a Lecturer in the History Department at Carnegie Mellon University, focusing on religion, politics, and journalism. In addition to CMU, he has taught at Dickinson College and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. He is a regular participant in the Council on Foreign Relations Workshop on Religion and International Affairs and has traveled to 20 countries.
Principal areas of teaching and related research have been religion and social ethics, religion and science, and (only tangentially related) truth and reliability in American journalism.
